With years of camp (and camping) experience + teen mentorship, JJ dreamed up a unique camp experience that ignites the perfect blend of thrill and excitement with meaningful growth and development. By fusing his experience in both areas, he aims to create a vibe that will empower young Bochurim to grow in ways that only a warm camp setting can ignite!
Menachem Rosenbaum
Coordinator
Given their longstanding collaboration in the camp setting, it was a natural fit for Menachem to partner with JJ on this exciting venture. In addition to overseeing logistical operations, Menachem's passion for the great outdoors and his compassionate leadership style brings a unique and invaluable dimension to the West Within!
Nesanel Elin
The Outdoors Guy
Nesanel's extensive experience in wilderness adventures and leadership makes him the perfect candidate to lead our expeditions. As our resident expert on the intersection of nature, Hashem and connection, he will expertly guide us through both the physical terrain and spiritual landscapes. Drawing on his profound knowledge of "Machshava" he will bring the guys to a deeper understanding of themselves, and in doing so, will bring out the "Within" aspect of Camp!
Avi Blatt
Chief Vibe Officer (CVO)
Part entertainer, part mentor, and full time legend. As a West Within alumnus, Avi is the guy who ensures the energy never dips, even when the sun is at its peak. He has the unique gift of being the king of energy while knowing exactly when to pivot into a real moment when called for. In the middle of the desert, Avi is the energy source - keeping the vibes up and the guys connected!
Motty Kahan
Operations & Mashpia
Part logistics wizard, part Mashpia, and a full-time hustler. Achrayus is his middle name. Motty is the silent engine of the camp, managing the thousand details that everyone assumes just happen by themselves. He combines a relentless work ethic with a deep ability to connect, serving as a steady guide for the guys while managing the grind of a travel camp. If there’s a problem, he’s already solved it; if a guy needs a shmooze, he’s already there.
